"No-Growthers
and Their Perfect Little Stepford State"
By David D. Demar
Regarding John McClaughry's
article posted on May 6th titled "Smart Growthers and their Perfect Little
State", I have to disagree with the title of his article, not his logic.
From my point of view, being a Vermonter who was born, raised and schooled
in Saint Albans (thankfully just before the "rot" set in), I wholeheartedly
agree with Mr. McClaughry's message. But I feel Mr. McClaughry's
article should have been titled, "No-Growthers and their perfect little
Stepford State". This would have been more accurate than smart growthers,
as the title of his article belies their real intent. Being in the
Pro-Life movement for the past decade (from a perspective of self-education
on the issue, I might add), I have come to realize the people on the left
really do hate other humans, but they have to make their message palpable
for the general public. The VNRC's website link to ZPG (Zero Population
Growth) and their true ideology lays bare for scrutiny their claimed concern
for our state and ultimately the mass of humanity within its boundaries.
As for VNRC and its relationship
with the "NWCRG" a.k.a. Northwest Citizens for Responsible Growth, with
talking heads Sue Prent and Betty Finn, the latter group is mere a satellite
created by the former, and their messages and instructions most likely
come directly from VNRC. One thing I would like to point out with
the NWCRG is they selected women to be the front people for them.
The psychology behind this ploy is that the aura of "victimizer" would
fall upon anyone on our side who would attack their message, making these
women "victims" who should be rewarded by us doing their bidding, the old
"be reasonable... do it my way" ploy. Fortunately for me (and unfortunately
for them) I do not have a problem attacking these groups, no matter whom
they put up for window dressing. Pity for them.
These anti-human activists
are, as I have said publicly on Saint Albans airwaves, "control freaks".
We see this in the Wal-Mart debacle where a the VNRC and NWCRG continue
to fight tooth and nail to keep this much-needed store out of Saint Albans
and Franklin County for the sole purpose of population control and forcing
people in Franklin County to pay homage to democrat/socialist Chittenden
for both our daily bread in the form of jobs and of our survival in the
form of goods and services. These groups, non-elected, self-appointed
(and self-aggrandizing) alleged do-gooders have nothing but contempt for
the humanity that surrounds them. That is self-evident, as our forefathers
would have said.
Anyone studying recent European
history should have learned that lesson, but they do not acknowledge the
direct connection between Germany's "lebensraum" policy that led to the
Holocaust and the anti-growth policies these groups endorse. But
make no mistake, the result will be the same... fewer people, and more
resources for the few these control freaks allow to remain.
I have nothing but contempt
for these people, neighbors or not. This is a w-a-r, and we had better
realize that and start fighting it like one, if we want to continue living
in a free society.
